PVC is partly composed of biodegradable material, such as salt and chalk, which make it recyclable. Concerned about reducing pollution, 3P and Decoramat ltd have continually pushed forward research to present a family of products which take into account the urgent need for reducing environmental impact. 3P recycles all extrusion process residues and wishes to sign up all the actors of the PVC sector in New Caledonia to its recycling programme.

All of the production of plastics consume 7% of oil refined against 13% for motor fuel and 70% for diesel and industrial fuels.

PVC represents a consumption of 0.7% of petroleum refining. Environment and ecology issues being too serious to be taken lightly, many independent institutions and organization focused on the PVC.
